KUKA is presenting itself at Hannover Messe as innovative and visionary
|
Hanover, January 2013 – KUKA AG is presenting itself from 8 to 12 April at Hannover Messe. The globally active group of companies will be bringing the trade fair slogan “Integrated Industry” to life with a typically spectacular KUKA booth concept covering an area of 570 m². E-mobility for XXL workpieces will be in the spotlight, as will automation solutions in the fields of joining, forming and automated production technologies. In a breathtaking show application, the KUKA products KR QUANTEC, KR AGILUS and KR 1000 titan take center stage. There will also be an opportunity to preview the upcoming generation of the KUKA lightweight robot, which is set to enable new, groundbreaking industrial production concepts.
Every two years, systems and robot specialist KUKA uses Hannover Messe as a platform to demonstrate its entire range of products and services. In a group-wide booth concept, KUKA Systems, KUKA Roboter and KUKA Laboratories all present innovative automation concepts and solutions together under the umbrella of KUKA AG.

E-mobility for XXL workpiecesThe flexible machining of XXL workpieces is another area in which KUKA will be arousing the interest of visitors to the trade fair. A concept study will demonstrate how the machining of a 10-meter long wind turbine blade can be performed flexibly by means of an autonomously navigating robot. The concept vehicle will consist of a KUKA omnimove, a KR QUANTEC shelf-mounted robot complete with KR C4 controller, and an autonomous navigation software package. |
|
New trends in lightweight constructionThe company will also be showcasing various applications to underscore its expertise in the growing lightweight construction sector. The main focus here will be on processes such as the welding of aluminum, the joining of mixed metallic materials and an induction welding process for joining fiber composites. Furthermore, trade fair visitors will also be able to view the results of a joint research project into energy-efficient body-in-white construction. They will be shown ways of making the automation of production systems and solutions more sustainable and efficient in terms of resources in the future. With its tools and dies division, the company is presenting its competence in forming applications. Here, once again, there is a clear trend towards lightweight construction, such as the machining of CRP or fiber composites. |
